Description

This creamy, cheesy Shrimp Casserole is a crowd-pleaser that’s simple to prepare yet delivers restaurant-quality taste. The combination of succulent shrimp, rich garlic butter, and a crispy golden topping makes every bite irresistible. Perfect for weeknights or special gatherings!

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the shrimp by peeling and deveining them. Rinse under cold water and pat dry.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  3. In a greased baking dish, spread cooked rice evenly. Top with shrimp and pour garlic butter mixture over them. Drizzle with heavy cream and sprinkle half the cheese.
  4. Combine breadcrumbs, remaining cheese, and paprika. Sprinkle over the casserole.
  5. Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor, but frozen (thawed) shrimp works too.
  • For extra richness, mix in a tablespoon of cream cheese with the heavy cream.
  • Swap breadcrumbs for crushed Ritz crackers for a buttery crunch.
