Description

Experience a spicy and sweet flavor explosion with our Hot Honey Chicken Bowl. This nutritious dish features crispy chicken, fluffy rice, and vibrant veggies, all drizzled with a mouthwatering hot honey sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 pound of chicken breast, diced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the diced chicken in honey, chili flakes, soy sauce, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the marinated chicken until golden brown, about 7-10 minutes.
  3. Assemble the bowl with a base of rice, topped with the hot honey chicken, sliced bell peppers, and broccoli florets.
  4. Drizzle additional hot honey sauce on top and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with tofu or tempeh marinated in the same sauce.
  • To make it gluten-free, replace soy sauce with a gluten-free alternative like tamari.
