- 4 cups shredded hash browns (thawed if frozen)
- 1 ½ cups diced cooked ham
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp melted butter (for greasing the dish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, diced ham, chopped onion, condensed cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the casserole.
- If using, sprinkle the crushed cornflakes cereal evenly over the top for added crunch.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a different flavor, substitute cream of chicken soup for the cream of mushroom soup.
