Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups warm water (about 110°F)
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and sugar, then sprinkle the yeast on top. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add flour and salt to the mixture. Using a wooden spoon, mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let it rise for about 1 to 1.5 hours until doubled in size.
- Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into 10 equal portions. Shape each into a round ball and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let rise for another 30 minutes.

- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and enjoy the delightful crunch!
