Description

Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites are a crunchy and zesty delight, featuring tender salmon pieces coated in a crispy panko crust and drizzled with a zesty Bang Bang sauce. Perfect as an appetizer or a snack, these bites are sure to impress and satisfy every palate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting the fresh salmon fillet into bite-sized pieces, removing any skin and bones.
  2. Season the salmon pieces with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Prepare a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs in separate bowls.
  4. Dip each salmon piece into flour, then into egg, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake the salmon bites for 15–20 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
  6. For extra crunch, sauté the baked salmon bites in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat with a little cooking oil for 2–3 minutes per side.
  7. Combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha to prepare the Bang Bang sauce.
  8. Serve the salmon bites with the Bang Bang sauce drizzled on top or on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • For an extra flavor twist, consider adding herbs or spices to the panko coating.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in an oven at 350°F (175°C) for the best texture.
