  • Total Time: 27 minutes

Description

Classic Deviled Eggs are a timeless appetizer that never fails to impress. With their creamy, tangy filling and a hint of spice, these bite-sized delights are always a crowd-pleaser. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or a delicious snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Fresh chives or parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 10-12 minutes. Transfer to an ice bath to cool before peeling.
  2. Slice eggs in half lengthwise, remove yolks, and place them in a mixing bowl. Arrange egg white halves on a serving platter.
  3. Mash yolks until smooth. Add mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy and well combined.
  4. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture into egg white halves. Sprinkle with paprika and garnish with fresh chives or parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Use older eggs for easier peeling.
  • For a smoother filling, press yolks through a fine-mesh sieve.
  • Adjust tanginess with more or less mustard and vinegar.
  • Add hot sauce or cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
  • Chill deviled eggs for at least 30 minutes before serving.
