- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- Paprika for garnish
- Fresh chives or parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Place eggs in a saucepan, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 10-12 minutes. Transfer to an ice bath to cool before peeling.
- Slice eggs in half lengthwise, remove yolks, and place them in a mixing bowl. Arrange egg white halves on a serving platter.
- Mash yolks until smooth. Add mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy and well combined.
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture into egg white halves. Sprinkle with paprika and garnish with fresh chives or parsley if desired.
Notes
- Use older eggs for easier peeling.
- For a smoother filling, press yolks through a fine-mesh sieve.
- Adjust tanginess with more or less mustard and vinegar.
- Add hot sauce or cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
- Chill deviled eggs for at least 30 minutes before serving.
