Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Add warm milk and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Cook chicken breasts by boiling, baking, or grilling until fully cooked. Shred the chicken into small pieces.
  3. SautΓ© and Season: In a skillet, sautΓ© chopped onion and bell pepper until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant. Stir in the shredded chicken, paprika, black pepper, and parsley. Cook for a few minutes to combine the flavors.
  4. Assemble and Bake: Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Punch down the risen dough and divide it in half. Roll out each half into a rectangle. Sprinkle half of the chicken mixture over each rectangle, leaving a small border. If using, sprinkle cheddar cheese over the chicken. Roll up each rectangle tightly, starting from one end. Place the rolled loaves seam-side down on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
